Advanced Disposal Holiday Service Questions

Advanced Disposal does not pick-up trash/recycling/yard waste on holidays in Mt. Zion. All pick-ups are pushed back one day the rest of the week.
Water Tower In-Service Date Set for Nov. 7, 2018

Mayor Mark Wells and the Village Board of Trustees are pleased to announce the completion and in-service date of November 7th for the Village's newly constructed 1,000,000 gallon water tower. The new water tower will be replacing the current 100,000 gallon water tower which was built in the 1950's. The old tower will be taken off-line and eventually demolished. The total cost of the project was $2,368,000.00 which was financed through an IEPA Loan.

Attention Motorists - Road Repairs

Mt. Zion Public Works Crews will be working to repair sections of Wildwood Drive between Woodland Drive and State Highway 121 as well as sections of Woodland Drive between the railroad tracks and Woodland Lane. Portions of the road will be reduced to one lane throughout the next 2-3 weeks. Please use caution in this area or take an alternate route. Thank you for your patience.
Bike Rodeo & The Chris Clark Bicycle Stunt Show - June 18th

Westside Street Maintenance Project begins May 24th

Phase II of the Westside Street Maintenance Project will begin Thursday, May 24th. Residents on Westside Drive from Baltimore Ave. to Main Street are asked to refrain from parking on the street during daytime hours until the project is complete next week (weather permitting). Residents will have access to their driveways, however, there may be short periods of time when access may be limited. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

Get your tickets now! The 2018 Drive-up Chicken Dinner tickets can be picked up at Sav-Mor Pharmacy, Scott State Bank, or Town and Country Bank. Tickets are $10, and must be purchased by May 7th!
IDOT to begin patching State Highway 121

Pavement patching work is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23 on State Highway 121 from the south corporate limits of Mt. Zion to US Route 36. The work consists of pavement patching and will be completed between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Motorists are asked to slow down and use extra caution when traveling through the work zone. Questions should be directed to IDOT at (217) 342-3951.
