Mt. Zion, IL – After serious consideration due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and it’s devastating effects on the business climate in Mt. Zion, the State of Illinois and the Nation, the Mt. Zion Area Economic Development Corporation (Mt. Zion EDC) has made the difficult decision to cancel Blue Ribbon Night scheduled for July 3rd at Fletcher Park.
The success of past Blue Ribbon Night events has been due to the financial support and donations from the Mt. Zion area business community. The Mt. Zion EDC Board of Directors appreciates and supports every local business and felt that at this time the Mt. Zion community needed to support these businesses rather than ask for their support during these difficult times.
The Mt. Zion EDC asks that all area residents continue to support these businesses now by shopping local when possible and picking up curbside meals to help these businesses who have been supportive of local events in the past.
