Mt. Zion Residents Benefit from Electrical Aggregation
9/29/2017
Village of Mt. Zion residents will soon see a savings on their power bill due to electrical aggregation. Recent bids for the electrical aggregation program will lower power supply bills beginning in December. The low bidder was Mid-American Energy and the rates are as follows: December 2017-June 2018 $0.0430/kWh and July 2018-June 2020 $0.0498/kWh. (The current rate with Homefield Energy is $0.05824/kWh.)
The electrical aggregation program is an opt-out program so residents and small businesses will automatically be enrolled unless they opt-out or sign an individual agreement with another company. Letters explaining the process will be going out soon to all residents and small business within the Village.
